What is the customer portal and why should I use it? 

The State Land Board launched a new and improved customer portal on October 1, 2025. This new portal is designed to provide you with a more user-friendly interface, reliable payment processing, and expanded features to streamline your interactions with us. The new portal offers a more efficient way to submit online applications and manage your payments.

New Account Required: To access the new system, all users—both new and existing—are required to create a new account.


How do I create an account?

To create a new account: 

  1. Go to the portal website
  2. Select  “Access the customer portal”
  3. Select “Manage/Register an Account
  4. Select “Register as a New User”
  5. Once registered, create a password by selecting “Log In” then “Sign up now” 
     

I created an account before October 1, 2025. Why do I need a new account? 

We updated to a new customer portal system on October 1, 2025. The new portal offers a more efficient way to submit online applications and manage your payments. To access the new system, all users—both new and existing—are required to create a new account.
 

I see there's an option to submit applications online.  Which lease type applications are available?

You can submit the following applications through the portal:  

  • Oil & Gas auction nominations
  • Rights-of-way
  • Renewable Energy - Solar  
  • Renewable Energy - Wind  

Be on the look out as more lease type applications will be coming online soon.
 

I am not a lessee. How can I pay an invoice? 

You don't need a customer account to pay an invoice. You just need the lease number and invoice number. If you have the lease and invoice numbers, you can pay an open invoice here
