Restoring Soil, Profits, Ranches, and Futures
Presented by Burke Teichert

We are no longer taking RSVPs (as of 1/22/24) however you are welcome to walk-in.

UA is a regenerative agriculture consulting company that helps ranchers successfully implement practices that restore soil health and ecosystem function, which reduces dependency on expansive inputs and leads to sustained profitability. They help ranchers reduce costs, generate actual profits, and ensure family farming futures.

The State Land Board is offering this program at no cost to our lessees because we aim to provide ranchers -- and our lessees -- with more tools to become better stewards of trust land and to become more profitable through the use of adaptive grazing management practices and improved business practices. Stewardship matters to us because trust land needs to earn income not only for today's students, but also for future generations of students.

Mr. Teichert's career has been devoted to ranching and regenerative grazing consulting. He advocates for planned, time-controlled grazing to improve soil health and ranch productivity. In his time of managing ranches in a number of climatic environments and locations, he learned that no two ranches could be managed the same—thus the need for adaptive practices to the individual ranch while using the same holistic principles. He holds a M.S. in Agriculture Economics from the University of Wyoming and B.S in Agriculture Economics from Brigham Young University, where he also served as Assistant Professor.
